The super-long scarf from hell, she is FINISHED. I never thought I'd see the day. If I ever mention starting a 1x1 rib scarf again, please confiscate my needles until I return to reason. The big, fat black scarf I'm currently (not) working on doesn't count, since Burly Spun knits up so fast.

Quick knit-hit - - I'm in the home stretch on the scarf from hell, what was supposed to be a 'fast' scarf as a gift for my 11-year old neighbor, who, every time I see her, stresses that she wants it to be "really, really, really long." I'm cursing myself for doing it in 1x1 rib, rather than garter - - it's a fairly simple skinny striped thing that should have been done by now. Maybe if I'm feeling ambitious it'll get done tonight. Then again, maybe not.

Obviously I'm being somewhat half-assed about the whole blogging thing - - if I were more serious/organized/technically adept I'd do the smart thing & read a bit about html instead of using my patented trial-and-error approach, which is why I still have a big blank spot under 'projects' and gaping holes where my damn pictures should be. Though I think that may be Yahoo's fault, not mine. OK, 'nuf with the whining. Next blog will definitely be about knitting, instead of, um, blogging.

OK, obviously this picture thing isn't working out the way I planned - - I thought the legwarmer pix were up 'n' running, but they seem to have gone missing since last I checked, and I'm hesitant about posting any new pix until I figure out what the hell I'm doing.  Pix are stored on my webpage at Yahoo, & have showed up at least once, so what gives?  Anyone have any tips/suggestions/magic bullets to share, I'd be ever so grateful.

Finished a 2nd hat for the husband - - he now has a snappy Colinette London beanie-ish cap in shades of glorious hand-dyed green, in addition to the Kureyon hat from last week, which may end up on someone else's head, as it's a little on the short side.

Behold, the glory that is the furry legwarmer! Modeled by T., upon whom they were bestowed as a birthday gift. They were my first pair of legwarmers, and I made up the pattern as I went, adding the stirrups on at the end. I'm rawther pleased with them, if I do say so m'self.
