Bugger the layout for now - - it'll have to wait. We just got home from the hospital yesterday - - my sweet baby's fever just wouldn't go away, so it was local hospital and IV city for a couple of days, bolstering him up with saline & antibiotics. The IV had to be secured to his arm much more, well, aggressively than it would for an adult, so he had this splint thingy with a few yards of gauze & tape wrapped around it, giving him a massive appendage not unlike a flipper. He didn't seem to mind it so much, even appeared to quite enjoy bashing me in the head whenever he had the chance. But we're home now, and he's on the mend. When his doctor told us we were going to the hospital, we ran right home and I packed 4 bags - - one with our toiletries/clothes, and 3 with knitting. While watching him nap, I did finish 2 hats from a terrific pattern that I bought from
Fibergraphics on eBay - - it's an 'everybody hat' that's knit from the top down, and can be sized for everyone from babies to XL adults. I'm SO in love with this pattern, I plan on making many, many hats from it.
